1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using OctoScout ("Service"), operated by TF Labs ("Company", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
OctoScout is a platform for indie game discovery, community engagement, and developer tools. The Service allows developers to create official game hubs, and players to discover, vote on, and engage with indie games.
3. User Accounts
You may need to create an account to access certain features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You must provide accurate information and promptly update it if it changes.
4. User Content
You retain ownership of content you submit (reviews, comments, community posts, game listings). By submitting content, you grant OctoScout a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and promote your content within the Service.
You must not submit content that is illegal, defamatory, infringing, or harmful. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms.
5. Game Listings and Claims
Developers may claim and manage game pages on OctoScout. By claiming a game page, you represent that you are the rightful owner or authorized representative of the game. False claims may result in account suspension.
6. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Manipulate votes, rankings, or engagement metrics
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions
- Scrape or harvest data without authorization
- Upload malware or malicious content
- Impersonate other users or developers
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
7. Intellectual Property
The OctoScout name, logo, design, and underlying technology are owned by TF Labs. Game artwork, trailers, and metadata displayed on the platform remain the property of their respective owners.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TF Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these terms. You may delete your account by contacting us at help@octoscouthub.com.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
